Wall thinks Calipari will stay put

John Wall said he believes that Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari will remain at the school.

Rumors continue to persist that Calipari is ready to make the leap back to the NBA depending upon where LeBron James ends up.

Calipari has come out time and time again and refuted the possibility that he would leave Kentucky.

However, no one seems to be buying it, especially with millions of dollars and a chance to coach James potentially on the table.

It will certainly be interesting to see how it continues to play out. It’s getting pretty late for Calipari to bail on Kentucky, but he has bolted on schools before.

Bledsoe, Orton stay in draft

Any hope that the Kentucky Wildcats wouldn’t be decimated by the NBA Draft has gone up in smoke.

Guard Eric Bledsoe and center Daniel Orton have both elected to remain in the NBA Draft, ending any chance of returning to school.

Head coach John Calipari knew that both John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins were as good as gone, but there was some hope he could retain a couple of key players.

Bledsoe said he never expected to be ready for the NBA after one season, but credited Calipari with pushing him to get to that point.

Orton didn’t get much notice because of Cousins, but a lot of NBA teams are intrigued by his skillset.

Kentucky trying to keep Calipari

The Kentucky Wildcats are trying to make sure that head coach John Calipari stays right where he is.

After rumors that Calipari is interested in the Chicago Bulls opening, the school is trying to give the coach a raise and extension.

They are hopeful that such a move will help alleviate any concerns of a strained relationship between the two sides.

Kentucky said it is thrilled with the job Calipari has done so far and look forward to many great seasons ahead.

The deal that Kentucky is putting on the table would keep him with the Wildcats until the day he retires.

Calipari interested in Bulls job

Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari is intrigued by the idea of coaching the Chicago Bulls.

Calipari has always wanted another crack at the NBA after he failed as coach of the New Jersey Nets.

Coaching the Bulls would give him a much more competitive team and the chance to work with former point guard Derrick Rose.

Calipari apparently hasn’t exactly gotten off to a smooth start with the Kentucky administration, which sounds reminiscent of Billy Gillispie.

Publically, Calipari is making it clear he has no interest in the job and is very happy at Kentucky.
